What started as an oil painting series evolved into these beautiful watercolor landscape paintings, without changing the essence and emotions behind the subject. I used a limited palette to make this entire series (just the primaries and a couple of neutral colors), which beautifully ties the series together.

I love sitting down and playing with my watercolors to see what happens. This little 6”x8” piece was a fun experiment to see how different greens could blend together on a new surface - a watercolor board. Sometimes these messy, joyful moments turn into something really beautiful, and that’s exactly what happened here.
